It is accessed by a dirt track from the town of Mala about 3 km, in the direction of the Mala Dam. Normally access is easy and with a simple car you can reach it, however, in the rainy season a 4X4 is advisable.
This zone is used for days of moderate wind with a Northeast direction.
The landing in the same area can be a bit complicated due to the prevailing wind. The other option is the landing zone right at the foot of the mountain. It is a much easier landing option. The land is wide and clear, in addition, there is a windsock. The area has easy access by car.
It is without a doubt the most popular takeoff in Lanzarote. Thermals can be very nice, with lots of cross country options.
